Clay Busters have now built a
full target range. It is probably the only one of it's kind
in the whole of Spain as it has 8 bench rest positions with
seats, individual benches, a covered and screened roof, gun
racks with a concrete base.
We are capable of holding 10m
pistol and 10m rifle (Standing) 25m and 40m bench rested
rifle. At the moment, informal practising and scope zeroing is held on a Friday
morning from 10am with the ZAC having their weekly
competition shoot every Sunday morning. It is hoped that this new facility will
attract many new shooters who fancy a go at this inexpensive
sport and that shooting days will be extended to 3 or 4 days
a week.
Although Clay Busters already have a pistol and rifle to
hire, there is a good array of members guns to have a look
at and maybe a go with. We recommend visiting first, having
a look around and a friendly chat with those there, who
knows? Maybe you'll join in the friendly competitions and
buy a gun of your own, that's how we all started!
We use a variety of guns,
pistols powered by spring/compressed air/Co2, the same for
10m rifles, for the longer distances, 25 and 40m, we use
spring or PCP guns. Spring guns are the ones everybody was
brought up with, Webley, BSA etc and PCP guns are relatively
new to the scene, pre-charged with compressed air from a
divers scuba tank, they are ultra accurate with no recoil
and because of this, the target bull is.......2mm wide! Yes,
airguns have come along in leaps and bounds since I was a
boy, come along and see for yourself, you'll be made very
welcome!
